Chemknights

Cover of a comic book titled "Checkmate" showing six diverse animated characters in colorful tiles resembling a chessboard, with a globe at the bottom.

In 2018, I started collaborating on a comic with artist Lee Milewski. At 71 issues, it is now complete. I developed the entire story, all character designs and iconography. The comic continues to receive thousands of views per month, even post-weekly updates. You can read the full comic here!

A cartoon scene depicting a tornado over green landscape with trees. A yellow sun is in the sky with clouds, and a small figure on top of the tornado is saying, 'It's a pretty nice view.'
A cartoon illustration of a small camper van parked on a street in a quiet town during sunset. The scene shows leafless trees, houses, and a bright sun in the sky. A speech bubble from the camper van reads, 'WELCOME TO BECQUEREL.'

Ultimate Frisbee

Post-pandemic, I found myself yearning for a new athletic outlet and a way to meet more people in San Francisco. Ultimate frisbee, a sport I had barely ever played before, found its way into my life and has yet to leave. In my rec league, I’ve risen to the role of Captain and enjoy being a leader and a reliable figure for the rest of my community. Most exciting, I actually parlayed my rec league experience into playing at a competitive tournament in Hawaii! While we only won a single game, running, throwing, and catching under the shadow of Diamond Head was an experience I’ll remember forever.
